The 2021 virtual edition of InnoGrid was organised by the European Distribution System Operators’ Association (E.DSO) and the European Network of Transmission System Operators (ENTSO-E) and took place on the 4 & 11 June 2021.
For its 10th edition – ‘Living the transition’ – InnoGrid highlighted the paramount role of networks in the energy transition and how they are enabling it today.
The conference presented leading EU funded R&D projects that are contributing to the transition by developing innovative solutions to renewables’ integration, digitalisation, flexibility and new market opportunities.
EUniversal was one of the projects showcased at the the session “Beyond sandboxes: projects boosting the transition – Innovation in markets” alongside with Interrface, OneNet and Coordinet.
Pedro Marques, EUniversal project coordinator explained at InnoGrid 2021 how the project offers a unique approach to foster interoperability across Europe and the Distribution System Operators (DSO) function as Market Facilitators.
This session focused on projects working towards enabling flexibility resources to reach the market by ensuring interoperability and seamless coordination among the different players of the value chain.
