Electification, digitalization & cooperation were the main themes that Innogrid wanted to bring to the table on the 12th edition of the event. So, it was only right that EUniversal was there.
Electrification is ramping up. This goes with massive investments from both transmission (TSOs) and distribution system operators (DSOs). Short versus long-term options for technology solutions and market perspectives to foster investment will be discussed. The second session will concentrate on digitalisation as a game changer and enabler for an optimized and efficient energy transition, delivering both in the short and long term. The event will finally illustrate how enhanced cooperation in the energy sector can bridge between an ambitious energy transition and the current market circumstances.
Innogrid reinforced that the time for action is now and this brings the need to speed up innovation and opt for opensource, as it happens with the UMEI.
EUniversal was represented by Pedro Marques in the third session of the first day of Innogrid, 9th of June, focused on cooperation, where the example of the UMEI interfacing DSO, Market operators and FSP was presented.
Pierre Crucifix and Louise Adam from N-side were present in the regulation session on the 2nd day.
