The CEER – Council of European Energy Regulators – a European consultative body where the Regulators of the Member States are represented, published a new document on the procedures that the Distribution System Operators (DSO) must consider when using flexibility.
This is a very important step regarding the Clean Energy Package, which reinforces the role of DSOs in the current energy transition and, in this moment, in relaunching the Post-Covid economy.
Projects like EUniversal – with scope on Flexibility, the transformation of DSOs and the active participation of Consumers – are important contributors to this whole process, not only through a direct participation in the political discussion at a European level but also for all the achievements in materializing the transformation.
The upcoming years will be of profound transformation and particularly challenging to reinforce the central role of DSOs in the new emerging order in the energy sector.
