EUniversal project was at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) European Workshop Week presenting the DEMOS (Portugal, Germany and Poland) Use Cases in the session “Integrating Distributed Energy Resources”.
Pedro Marques (E-REDES), the Project Coordinator, started by introducing an overview of the project, including the UMEI (Universal Market Enabling Interface) concept, followed by David Brummund (Mitnetz Strom – E.ON group) presenting the German Demo Active Power Use Case in the context of Redispatch 2.0.
Rita Lopes Mourão (E-REDES) highlighted the work developed on the Portuguese Demo presenting the Use Case on planned maintenance actions in Medium Voltage grids and a quick reference to grid planning through market mechanisms. Last but not least, Mirosław Matusewicz (ENERGA Operator) and Adam Babs (IEN) introduced the Polish Demo work focused on the Dynamic Line Rating (DLR) and the Flexstation.
EPRI European Workshop Week gathers together key stakeholders across the power sector to find paths forwards to meet the key innovation challenges the grid faces on the energy transition to 2050.
