The 2nd International Advisory Board (IAB) meeting of EUniversal project was held online.
With more than 40 participants, the main purpose of this session was to present to the IAB members the overall status of the project as well as discuss with them the main achievements accomplished so far.
Luís Cunha (E-REDES) started the work session welcoming all the participants, followed by Pedro Marques (project coordinator) that gave the audience a project overview on the work developed within the work packages.
The first group of presentations was focused on Technical Sessions:
Session 1 – Session on regulatory and policy issues, where Ellen Beckstedde (VLERICK) presented the three main deliverables related to the regulatory and policy issues.
Session 2 – The UMEI and its compatibility with the market platforms presented by Carlos Silva (E-REDES), Svein Jørgen Sønning (NODES) and Giancarlo Marzano (N-SIDE).
Session 3 – Overview of the DSO tools, Clara Gouveia (INESC TEC) with Clara Gouveia presenting the deliverables and work regarding Work Package 4.
During the presentations, several questions were submitted by the IAB members and discussed with the team.
The second part was dedicated to the Project Demonstrators:
Portuguese DEMO – Demonstration of the UMEI concept in the management of market driven flexibility services for a LV and MV grid, E-REDES (Rita Mourão)
German DEMO – Demonstration of congestion management using market driven utilisation of flexibility options in a LV grid, E.ON (Frank Bockemühl)
Polish DEMO – Demonstration of grid observability and future networks supporting flexibility management via the UMEI, IEN (Adam Babs)
Throughout the session, the project team received attentively the recommendations and comments about the project, given by the IAB members that attended the meeting, with the aim of enriching future work.
