EUniversal project was one of the “Projects in the Spotlight” – at the first edition of the webinar series of the same name organized by the European Distribution System Operators (E.DSO).
On Wednesday 10 March, more than 150 participants attended this first webinar titled “DSOs at the center of Data Exchange”, addressing the challenges on innovating in distribution operation, shaping the energy sector of the future.
Besides EUniversal other two H2020 BRIDGE projects – Platone and InterConnect shared their work and vision regarding the importance of the Distribution Systems Operators (DSOs) role in the data sphere, in the energy transition and how they are key to connecting everyone.
Pedro Marques, the project coordinator, presented EUniversal mission and the outline of the solution proposed to solve the challenge:
“We will develop an open interface to address all the flexibility-related communications that need to be exchanged between the DSO, the Market platform operators and the aggregators”.
The project coordinator also pointed out the focal point in terms of data to accomplish EUniversal mission and highlighted that DSOs are at the center of the stage as they connect everyone and are part of the solution, facilitating this orchestration.
E.DSO is the key-interface between the leading electricity DSOs and the European institutions and stakeholders. In collaboration with its members, E.DSO is committed to taking on the huge challenges associated with the energy transition, built on the EU’s ambitious energy, climate, security of supply, jobs and growth objectives.
